Traverski Ski, Sport + Social Club
Traverski is a non-profit organization established in 1971 with the intent to provide enjoyment for its members. The club does not intend to gain financially from its trips and events and prices are set for an overall long-term break-even point. Volunteering is the backbone of the Traverski Ski and Sports Club.
Charity Events
The main focus of the club’s charity efforts is an annual charity auction held in March. This year we raised money for the Minnesota Military Family Foundation.
Sporting Events
Downhill, Cross Country, Snowboard, Hiking, Biking, Golf, Volleyball,
Canoeing,
Camping, Baseball Games, and Boat Cruises.
Social Events
Happy Hours, Welcome Summer Party, Farewell Summer Party, Welcome Snow
Party, Halloween Party, Christmas Party, Concerts, Board Bashs, and much more.
Past Charities
Past recipients of the charity auction proceeds are Camp
Jornada,
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, NAMI, Mayo Clinic Breast Cancer Research, and the Minnesota Military Family Foundation.
Other community volunteer efforts include working at Channel One and
coordination
a highway cleanup along a stretch of Highway 14 near Byron, Minnesota.
